Criteria and Responsibilities

Review Request and Peer-Review Model

Review Request: Review requests are sent via email through the Journal Management System. Upon receiving an invitation, reviewers are requested to respond within one week by either accepting or declining the review request. Before accepting an invitation, reviewers should ensure that they:

  • possess appropriate expertise relevant to the manuscript;
  • have sufficient time to complete the review within the requested timeframe;
  • have no conflicts of interest that could influence the objectivity of their review.

Once the invitation is accepted, reviewers are generally expected to submit their review within two weeks, resulting in a total review period of approximately three weeks from the date the invitation is sent. If additional time is required, reviewers are encouraged to contact the Editorial Office as early as possible.

Peer-Review Model: JKI operates a double-blind peer-review process. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and impartiality.
